Meet Our Staff
Dr. Tim Mullins
Tim graduated from Samford School of Pharmacy (now McWhorter) in 1987 and continued studying there for his Doctorate of Pharmacy in 2000. He has enjoyed being a pharmacist, and specifically serving the Bessemer area for the past 27 years. Tim also had the opportunity of working on Samford’s pharmacy school staff placing students into rotation sites to train under “preceptor” pharmacists. In 2008, Tim, along with his wife, Sondra, were blessed with the opportunity to open Hometown Pharmacy Services in Bessemer. Here he is able to serve the community as a pharmacist, as well as working as a preceptor for McWhorter pharmacy students, passing on his love for the profession.
When not at the pharmacy, Tim enjoys fishing with his wife, singing in his church choir, and visiting with his three grown children.
Sondra is our office manager and wife of Tim, graduated from Samford’s School of Music in 1986 where she studied vocal performance. Tim loves to say, “I thought she said, ‘Opry’ not opera!” Sondra enjoys singing at her church and visiting at other churches to sing and lead in worship through song.
She has always loved working with her husband in different adventures: Rearing three wonderful children, establishing and running Twisters Basketball Club to help kids win college scholarships, working in church ministries and missions, and most recently, beginning Hometown Pharmacy in Bessemer. Here at Hometown, Sondra has loved getting to know the patients and their families whom Tim has known for the past 27 years. When not working in the office, she values the opportunity of building relationships with the people as they come into the pharmacy each day.
Dr. Hope Davis
Hope graduated from the University of Georgia College of Pharmacy with her Pharm.D. in 2016. She is excited to be part of the Hometown team where she focuses on coordinating our clinical services. She especially enjoys being able to meet and talk to patients one-on-one to help them understand and optimize their medications. When not at the pharmacy, she loves singing in the choir at her church, as well as traveling and spending time with her husband, Taylor, and their puppy, Quincy. Be sure to meet Hope next time you’re in the store to see how she may be able to help you with your medications (and ask to see a picture of Quincy – he’s adorable!).
